ArentFox Schiff has shifted its Chicago office into three newly renovated floors at Willis Tower, continuing a long-standing presence in the landmark building at 233 S. Wacker Drive in Chicago, Illinois. The relocation keeps the firm in the same tower it has occupied since 1974, when legacy firm Schiff Hardin moved into what was then the newly constructed Sears Tower.
As part of the move, ArentFox Schiff reduced its office footprint from nearly 181,000 square feet to 75,700 square feet. The new premises span floors 72, 73, and 74 of Willis Tower. According to the firm, the redesigned workspace is intended to support current operations while allowing for future expansion, with capacity for approximately 250 employees.
The Chicago office is currently home to nearly 130 attorneys practicing across a range of legal disciplines. The updated office configuration is designed to accommodate attorneys and staff within a smaller, more efficient space while maintaining the firm’s presence in a high-profile downtown office tower.
Chicago Office Managing Partner Joe Krasovec noted that the firm was motivated to remain in Willis Tower, describing the building as the firm’s home for more than 50 years. He added that leadership is pleased with the outcome of the renovation and the way the new space supports the firm’s needs.
The move underscores ArentFox Schiff’s decision to stay in a historic central business district location while rightsizing its office footprint. The renovated floors are expected to house the firm’s current Chicago headcount and provide room for additional growth within the existing space.
