Margulies Perruzzi has completed the first phase of renovations at 150 Byron Street in East Boston for Boston Scores, a non-profit organization that provides soccer and enrichment programs to urban youth. The 39,320-square-foot building was converted into a shared space for both Boston Scores and the Salesian Boys and Girls Club of East Boston.
Phase 1 included 2,850 square feet on the third floor with an open office area, six private staff offices as well as facilities dedicated to youth programs and coach training. An elevator along with large interior windows overlooking the gym were also added during this stage of renovation.
The second phase will introduce a multi-field soccer complex, playgrounds, community gardens plus outdoor classrooms which will expand outreach opportunities for those involved in this project.
