Brooklyn Nonprofit Secures $83M Contract to Provide Housing for New Yorkers Living with HIV/AIDS

St. Nicks Alliance Corp., a Brooklyn-based nonprofit, has been awarded an $83.2 million contract from the city’s Department of Social Services/Human Resources Administration to operate and maintain 459 housing units for clients of the HIV/AIDS Services Administration and their families, as reported by Crain’s New York Business. The funds will be used to lease apartments for individuals living with HIV or AIDS who are homeless and also dealing with serious mental illness, substance use disorder, or both.

The organization was among several nonprofits that responded to the city’s request for proposals in order to manage a total of 2272 units of supportive housing across New York City. This contract is part of St Nick’s Alliance mission towards providing safe and affordable housing solutions in NYC while helping those affected by HIV/AIDS find stability during these difficult times
