Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, one Austin business managed to not only survive but thrive – The Blue Starlite Urban Drive-in. During the peak of the lockdown, their business increased tenfold and although it has since dipped a bit, they are still going strong. To accommodate their growth in demand, Blue Starlite recently secured a two-year lease for a 10 acre site northeast of Braker Lane off Interstate 35 which is four times larger than its previous Mueller location that closed last month. This new location will allow them to expand from three screens to five by year’s end and double their potential capacity per screen with up to 40 vehicles allowed at each showing!
The post “Austin Drive-In Finds Out There’s Life After Covid” showcases how even during difficult times businesses can find success if they remain resilient and adaptive.
