Weston Urban has begun construction on a 16-story, 290-unit apartment building in San Antonio. This project is the result of a partnership between Weston Urban and Bexar County’s public facilities corporation. The company negotiated a 75-year ground lease with the agency to develop this property, requiring them to offer at least 116 apartments at 80% area median income or lower.
The new complex will be located between two vacant buildings: Continental Hotel and Arana; it will include 22,000 square feet of retail and office space as well as residential units from the former hotel site. In addition, Weston Urban plans to renovate both buildings for office/retail use while restoring De La Garza House – an 19th century Spanish colonial home – which they will turn over to Bexar County upon completion of their work.
San Antonio residents can look forward to 290 new apartments plus additional retail/office space coming soon!
