Austin Land Purchased by St. David's Hospital for $300M

St. David’s HealthCare has identified a location at the corner of Farm to Market Road and Marketplace Avenue in Austin, TX for its Kyle hospital as part of their plan to invest $1 billion in expanding within the metro area. According to The Austin Business Journal, St. David’s will construct a seven-story hospital with an estimated cost of $300 million that will be connected to the city’s future Vybe Trail and feature retail and housing options nearby.

The 160,000 square foot acute care facility is expected provide comprehensive services such as 24-hour emergency department access, robotic services, maternity/newborn care along with other critical care capabilities including both inpatient and outpatient surgery procedures – creating approximately 200 full-time jobs upon completion.

The 65 acre tract is owned by San Antonio based Sheldon Tanglewood Ltd., appraised at roughly $12.7 million dollars according to records obtained from local authorities
