Connect CRE recently reported on the plans to convert the 42-story Cityplace Tower in Dallas into a combination of rental units, hotel rooms, and a conference center. The owner of the building, NexPoint , is renovating 1.35 million square feet of office space with 98 rental units and 222-room hotel expected to be completed by Q1 2025 at an estimated cost of $61.5 million for rentals and $136.2 million for construction costs associated with the new hotel addition. Additionally, Neiman Marcus has taken up residence in three floors as part their new headquarters within Cityplace Tower . This follows similar renovations seen at Santander Tower , Bryan Tower , Comerica Bank Towers downtown that have converted vacant office spaces into residential apartments or hotels – making it clear that Dallas is embracing this trend towards mixed use highrises!
