Red Hill Ventures is moving forward with plans to build 300 multifamily units and 100,000 square feet of commercial space on 95 acres in Magnolia Crossing, located northeast of FM 1488 and Mill Creek. The luxury apartments will range from 700-1,200 square feet while the shopping complex could include food and beverage options, medical services, child care as well as a midsize grocery store or fitness center as its anchor. Additionally, green space and walking trails are planned for the area.
In order to attain property tax revenue for city services provided by the town itself – which currently has a water moratorium – Red Hill Ventures has requested annexing the property into their development plans. However it cannot be ensured that water/wastewater services will be available until Q2 2024 at earliest.
