Great Expectations, a real estate firm specializing in the development and acquisition of low-income and workforce housing, recently completed Betula House apartment building near Seattle University and Swedish Cherry Hill. Rush Construction served as the general contractor while Hybrid Architecture designed the project. Arboreal – with construction and apartment management arms – will be managing property operations at this four-story 25,000 square foot building located at 355 15th Ave in Seattle.
Betula House offers 50 units including 36 270-square-foot small efficiency dwelling units along with 446 square feet one bedroom apartments as well two bedroom options. Before opening its doors to residents, nearly 100% of these units were preleased; current occupants include healthcare workers, young professionals & students alike. Work on this development began after Great Expectations acquired it for $2.7 million back in December 2020; ground breaking was done by November 2021 .
