BPDA Board Gives Green Light to Fenway Corners Development Project

The Boston Planning and Development Agency’s (BPDA) board has approved most of the Fenway Corners project, a large-scale development that will bring eight new buildings and numerous retail shops to the Fenway neighborhood surrounding Fenway Park. This news was reported by Boston Business Journal.

This joint venture between WS Development, Fenway Sports Group (affiliated with the Red Sox), and local business owners D’Angelo family spans over five acres, encompassing 2.1 million square feet of space including lab and office space, housing units, retail locations as well as a daycare center and public open space.

The goal is to enhance pedestrian-friendliness in this area around the ballpark while remaining portion of this development awaits approval pending completion of a neighborhood transportation plan.
