McHugh Construction Completes Two Rental Towers in Fulton Market

McHugh Construction recently announced the topping off of two rental towers in Chicago’s Fulton Market and Fulton River Districts. The 28-story 225 N. Elizabeth topped out on July 6, while the 33-story Cassidy on Canal is scheduled to top out at the end of July, adding a total of 693 apartments next year.

225 N. Elizabeth was developed by Sterling Bay and Denver-based Ascentris with Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture designing it to complement its industrial surroundings; McHugh Construction served as general contractor and McHugh Concrete as concrete subcontractor for this project.
The Habitat Company selected McHugh and Bowa Construction as their general contractors for Cassidy on Canal along with other major developments currently underway such as mixed-use projects 43 Green in Bronzeville and Ogden Commons in North Lawndale; Solomon Cordwell Buenz designed this building which is being developed by The Habitat Company together with Diversified Real Estate Capital, LLC .

This post marks an important milestone for these two rental towers that will soon become part of Chicago’s skyline!
