Rock Hill Groundbreaking: Stiwa Invests $36M in New Facility

Stiwa U.S. Inc., a subsidiary of Austria-based Stiwa Group, has broken ground on a 75,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 2657 Long Meadow Road in Rock Hill, NC outside of Charlotte. This is the first phase of a $36 million project with production slated to begin in September 2024.

The multinational high-performance automation company purchased the 30 acre site off Porter Road along I-77 for $1.83 million earlier this year and will be relocating from its current Fort Mill location where it had been leasing 24,000 square feet at Stateline Logistics Center; they also have facilities in China and Germany.
Business activities planned for the new facility include automation machinery parts machining, manufacturing software sales support procurement and supply chain management . At the groundbreaking ceremony held June 21st , Stiwa noted that their new facility will provide space for approximately 160 jobs when completed .
