Plaza Companies and Fayth Hospitality plan to break ground on Hotel Six Four, Mayo Blvd, a new dual-branded Hilton hotel at the southeast corner of 64th Street and Mayo Boulevard in North Phoenix. The project will add 257 guest rooms across six stories and is positioned as a hospitality asset serving a rapidly expanding healthcare and bioscience cluster in the area.
The hotel will pair two Hilton flags in a single building, combining the boutique lifestyle positioning of Tapestry Collection by Hilton with the extended-stay offering of Homewood Suites by Hilton. By integrating both brands under one roof, the development is designed to accommodate a range of guest needs, from short visits to longer stays tied to medical care, business travel or institutional activity nearby.
Hotel Six Four will rise less than one mile from Mayo Clinic’s Phoenix campus, placing it in close proximity to a major regional healthcare destination. The site is also near the new Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital, ASU’s Health Futures Center and the emerging Discovery Oasis biotechnology campus. Together, these facilities form a growing ecosystem of healthcare, research and bioscience uses that is driving additional demand for lodging and related services in North Phoenix.
Plans for the property include a signature first-floor restaurant and bar intended to serve both hotel guests and the surrounding community. The food-and-beverage program will feature indoor seating, outdoor dining areas and private dining options, giving the hotel an activated ground floor that can function as a neighborhood amenity as well as an in-house offering.
In addition to restaurant and bar space, the six-story hotel is programmed with a range of guest amenities. The development will include a pool, a fitness gym and meeting space, supporting both leisure and business travel demand. These facilities are expected to complement the needs of visitors connected to nearby medical and institutional users, as well as travelers drawn to the broader North Phoenix market.
Mayse & Associates is serving as architect for the project, providing design services for the dual-branded Hilton concept. EBCO General Contractor has been engaged as the general contractor and will oversee construction activities once ground is broken. Together with Plaza Companies and Fayth Hospitality, the project team is moving the hotel forward at a time when North Phoenix’s healthcare and biotech footprint is expanding.
The development of Hotel Six Four, Mayo Blvd illustrates ongoing investment in hospitality assets aligned with large institutional anchors. By locating at the intersection of 64th Street and Mayo Boulevard, near Mayo Clinic and other healthcare and research facilities, the project is positioned to participate in the continued growth of this specialized North Phoenix corridor.
