A freight transportation services provider has signed a 250,000-square-foot lease at 1 Buckingham Avenue in Perth Amboy, bringing the 407,700-square-foot industrial building to full occupancy. Lee & Associates New Jersey Office arranged the lease on behalf of the landlord, MayPerth LLC.
The Lee & Associates team of Claudia Ganas, Monica Franco, Ana Carolina De Araujo and Ryan Mojares represented MayPerth LLC in the transaction. With this lease, the remaining space in the building has been absorbed, and the property is now fully leased to industrial users.
The freight transportation tenant is relocating from a location in Union County to support its expanding operations. According to the parties involved, the move to 1 Buckingham Avenue is intended to enhance distribution efficiency and provide flexibility for near-term growth in the tenant’s business.
Yitzi Jachimowitz of Eretz Realty represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. The relocation consolidates the tenant’s operations into a facility that is designed to better align with its freight and logistics requirements.
Ganas described the lease as the result of a coordinated effort among all parties, noting that the participants brought expertise and responsiveness to advance the deal. She said the landlord worked closely with the tenant to address specific warehouse needs within the building.
The building’s proximity to key ports and major highways was cited as a central factor in the tenant’s decision. This location was described as offering the distribution and transportation efficiencies the company was seeking for its freight operations, alongside the capacity to handle anticipated growth.
With the completion of this 250,000-square-foot transaction, MayPerth LLC has achieved full occupancy at 1 Buckingham Avenue. The lease underscores continued industrial demand from transportation and logistics users seeking port- and highway-accessible space to support regional distribution activity.
