New Tucson Tribal Casino Reveals Start Date
CRE Market Beat Take
A third Pascua Yaqui casino in Tucson signals continued confidence in tribal-led hospitality demand, adding sizable new gaming supply without any disclosed financing details for lenders to benchmark.

Casino Del Sol, the resort enterprise owned and operated by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, has set November 16 as the official opening date for Casino Del Sol, Vahi Taa’am, the Tribe’s third gaming property in Tucson. The new development is positioned at 1055 W. Grant Road at the intersection with Interstate 10, giving the project prominent freeway visibility and regional access for guests arriving from across the area.

The property is planned as a 163,000-square-foot gaming and entertainment destination. Within that footprint, the casino will devote 52,334 square feet to its main gaming floor. The layout is programmed to accommodate 924 slot machines, including 56 machines designated for High Limit play, reflecting an emphasis on both mass-market and higher-spend guests. Seven bar-top gaming stations will be integrated into the Center Bar, allowing visitors to combine gaming with food and beverage service in a central social hub.

Table games will supplement the slot offerings, and a dedicated High Limit Lounge will provide an upgraded environment for premium play. The property will also include a SolSports sportsbook, offering wagering on all major sports. By adding sports betting to the traditional casino program, the Tribe is broadening the property’s appeal to both local and visiting patrons who follow professional and collegiate sports.

Food and beverage are a significant component of the new destination. The plan calls for four distinct food and beverage concepts, led by the OP Grill (Old Pascua Grill), a 174-seat upscale casual restaurant that will focus on distinctly local flavors. In addition, Sewa Market will consolidate several existing concepts under one roof, bringing together UME, Streetscape, and Abuelitas Taqueria. This configuration is designed to offer guests a range of dining options within a single marketplace-style setting.

The project will also feature three bar venues. The Center Bar will function as a focal point on the gaming floor, while the OP Grill Bar will serve guests of the restaurant in a more intimate setting. A High Limit Bar will be available to patrons in the High Limit areas, supporting the property’s focus on differentiated experiences for various play levels. Together, these offerings are intended to keep guests on-site for longer visits by providing a full spectrum of food and beverage choices.

To support on-site traffic and ease guest access, the property will include a four-level parking structure providing more than 1,200 spaces. The structured parking component is designed to manage peak visitation periods and accommodate a mix of local drive-in patrons and regional visitors arriving via Interstate 10. With the opening date now confirmed, Casino Del Sol, Vahi Taa’am moves closer to joining the Pascua Yaqui Tribe’s existing portfolio as its third gaming asset in the Tucson market.
