KeyBank Community Development Lending and Investment (CDLI) has expanded its affordable housing finance platform with a key hire and a leadership promotion. Naomi See has joined CDLI as a senior banker on the business development and investor relations team, where she will focus on strengthening relationships with institutional investors and supporting capital formation for the firm’s equity syndications business. In a concurrent move, Celia Smoot has been elevated to Head of Equity Originations, taking responsibility for investment strategy and execution across CDLI’s affordable housing equity pipeline.
Cushman & Wakefield is building out its presence in the Twin Cities office market with the addition of three professionals to its Minneapolis office leasing team. Brian Helmken, Erik Heltne and Addison Carlson have joined the firm to work with both occupiers and landlords across the Twin Cities and throughout Minnesota, bringing additional local market expertise to its office leasing platform.
Farbman Group has broadened its bench across several business lines with four new hires. Andrew Fernandez has been named general manager of the Fifth Third Center in Cleveland, Ohio, while Kawehi Kamakea becomes regional manager for a portfolio of properties in Alabama. The firm has also expanded its mechanical services affiliate, Apex Mechanical Solutions, by adding HVAC technicians Terrell Chestnut and Carl Richardson Jr.
JLL has recruited Erik Johnson as a senior director for its Minneapolis capital markets team. Johnson will concentrate on debt and equity advisory services for a range of commercial property types, working with clients to structure and place financing solutions that align with their investment objectives and capital requirements.

Core Industrial Realty has added Alexander (AJ) Smith as a broker as he begins his career in industrial brokerage. Smith will concentrate on DuPage County and I-88 corridor submarkets, working under the guidance of co-founder Nick Krejci to serve industrial users and investors in these areas.
Greenstone Partners has completed the strategic acquisition of D4 Realty, a Chicago-area brokerage specializing in office and industrial transactions. Following the acquisition, D4 Realty founder and principal Dave Schraufnagel has joined Greenstone Partners as senior director of investment sales and leasing, expanding the firm’s capabilities in office and industrial advisory services.
Colliers has continued to grow its Midwest platform by hiring Jeremy Bates as vice president with Colliers | Cleveland-Akron. Bates brings more than two decades of experience advising retail clients on expansion planning and lease negotiations. His background includes prior roles with Coldwell Banker Commercial | Schmidt Family of Companies and CBRE, where he served as vice president of advisory and transaction services.
