Gale Associates Opens Rhode Island Office in Providence
CRE Market Beat Take
Gale Associates’ new Providence office modestly deepens the region’s technical advisory bench for owners and lenders focused on building enclosure performance. The move may support more complex repositioning and energy-focused projects across Southern New England by improving local access to consulting expertise.

Gale Associates, Inc., a consulting engineering firm, has established a new Rhode Island office at The Foundry in Providence. The firm selected The Foundry, described as a nationally recognized historic landmark and one of Providence’s most distinctive commercial campuses, as the location for its latest office. By adding a presence in Providence, Gale Associates is increasing its geographic reach within Southern New England.

The Providence office will be led by senior project manager Jason Wagner. Wagner brings more than three decades of architectural and building enclosure consulting experience to the new location. His background is positioned to shape the office’s technical capabilities and support the firm’s work across a variety of building-related assignments in the region.

Wagner’s consulting work focuses on building enclosure evaluation and design, as well as energy conservation strategies. His expertise also includes design peer review and BECx commissioning, allowing him to advise clients on how building enclosures perform and how they can be improved. These services are core elements of Gale Associates’ practice and are expected to be available to clients served from the Providence office.

In discussing the new office, Steven Marshall, managing principal of Gale Associates, said the firm is expanding its presence in Rhode Island with a location that reflects both the character and accessibility of the Providence market. He noted that the office allows the firm to better serve its clients while continuing to strengthen relationships throughout Southern New England. The move underscores Gale Associates’ intention to be more accessible to its client base in the region and to maintain closer connections with those it serves.

By situating the office within The Foundry, Gale Associates is aligning its operations with a property that is recognized for its historic status and its role as a commercial campus within the city. The firm expects the new Providence location to support ongoing client work and relationship-building efforts across Rhode Island and the broader Southern New England area, with Wagner’s experience and leadership central to that effort.
