Grupo Satli is moving forward with a large all-inclusive hospitality project in Riviera Maya, Mexico, partnering with Marriott International and Aimbridge Hospitality on a 980-key resort. The new property is positioned as an international project that will expand the presence of all three companies in the all-inclusive resort segment, with Grupo Satli leading development efforts and Aimbridge providing management through its dedicated All-Inclusive Division.
According to the partners, the resort is expected to open under an independent brand at first, with plans for the property to be integrated into the Marriott Hotels All-Inclusive portfolio in 2027. That transition would place the asset within Marriott Hotels & Resorts’ growing all-inclusive platform in Mexico, which already includes Marriott Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort in the northern Cancun area.
The selection of Aimbridge Hospitality as operator reflects the company’s track record in the all-inclusive space and its experience in the Mexican hospitality market. Aimbridge’s specialized All-Inclusive Division is slated to oversee day-to-day operations once the resort comes online, while Grupo Satli focuses on the project’s development and investment strategy.
The partnership is intended to leverage distinct strengths from each participant. Grupo Satli brings capital and development capabilities to the venture, Marriott International contributes the reach and recognition of a global hotel brand with an expanding all-inclusive platform, and Aimbridge adds operational expertise in managing large, all-inclusive resorts. The combination is described by the companies as a benchmark initiative in one of the world’s most prominent resort destinations.
Marriott’s growing all-inclusive footprint in Mexico provides a platform for the new Riviera Maya property once it joins the Marriott Hotels All-Inclusive portfolio. The existing Marriott Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort serves as a reference point within the brand’s regional offering, and the Riviera Maya resort is expected to further reinforce Marriott’s presence in key Mexican leisure markets.
Commenting on the collaboration, Jamal Satli Iglesias, chairman of Grupo Satli, highlighted the alignment between the firms, citing Grupo Satli’s investment strength, Marriott International’s global profile, and Aimbridge Hospitality’s track record in all-inclusive operations. The companies position the project as a strategic step that builds on their respective roles in the segment and underscores the importance of Riviera Maya as a destination for large-scale resort investment.
