Consumer Cellular Leasing 123K-SF Phoenix Office Building
CRE Market Beat Take
This 15-year commitment, noted as the largest Phoenix metro office lease so far this year, highlights that sizeable users will still lock in long-duration space when operational needs justify it.

Consumer Cellular has committed to a long-term lease at the 8501 Raintree office building in north Scottsdale, where the company plans to consolidate a range of business functions. The move will place its Phoenix-area office operations in a 123,340-square-foot building, according to a report from the Phoenix Business Journal.

The leased space will house call center staff along with marketing, technical, executive and administrative teams. These groups are currently part of the company’s broader Phoenix contingent, which spans multiple locations across the Valley. By bringing these functions together, Consumer Cellular is positioning the Raintree property as a central hub for a significant portion of its local workforce.

The Phoenix Business Journal report cited in the Connect CRE story notes that the transaction is the largest office lease signed so far this year in the Phoenix metro. The deal extends for 15 years, underscoring Consumer Cellular’s long-term commitment to the building and to its regional operations.

Consumer Cellular already maintains a notable footprint in the Valley through both retail and office locations. The company operates several retail stores in Mesa, Scottsdale and Surprise, as well as three call centers, two of which are in Tempe and one in Phoenix. It also has a corporate office in the region. The new lease at 8501 Raintree adds a sizable office facility to this existing network.

Employees are expected to begin working from the Raintree building in the third quarter of 2027. The timing provides a runway for any build-out, relocation planning or operational transitions needed to move teams into the new space, although specific improvement plans were not detailed in the source material.

On the tenant side, Consumer Cellular was represented in the 15-year lease by Jonathan Keyser of Keyser Commercial Real Estate. Keyser’s colleague, Jeff Rifkin, served as tenant project manager for the assignment, supporting Consumer Cellular’s side of the transaction. Representation for the building owner was provided by Bryan Taute of JLL.

The owner of 8501 Raintree is Tryperion Holdings, which was identified as the landlord in the transaction. While financial terms of the lease, including rental rate and total lease consideration, were not disclosed, the size and duration of the commitment mark it as a significant office leasing event within the Phoenix metro’s current calendar year.
