The concentration of senior promotions and platform expansions at Texas-based firms points to continued institutionalization and scaling of CRE platforms in key Sun Belt markets.

Recent leadership changes across Texas-based commercial real estate firms highlight continued growth and platform refinement in the region. Austin-headquartered LV Collective has elevated two senior executives, promoting Jonathan Reyes to president and Christopher Kott to chief investment officer. In his new role, Reyes is charged with guiding the company’s overall growth strategy and overseeing operations across LV Collective’s platform, with responsibility for its core business lines and positioning the company for further expansion. Kott moves up from his previous position as executive vice president of acquisitions to become chief investment officer, where he will lead investment activity across both student housing and multifamily for the firm.

In Houston, Camden Property Trust has executed a broad leadership transition consistent with its long-term succession planning. The company has promoted Alexander J. Jessett to chief executive officer, and he has also joined the firm’s Board of Trust Managers. Laurie A. Baker has been elevated to president and chief operating officer, while Benjamin D. Fraker has been promoted to executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer. Camden co-founder Richard J. Campo will now serve as executive chairman of the Board of Trust Managers, and fellow co-founder D. Keith Oden will continue in his role as executive vice chairman of the Board of Trust Managers.

Savills is expanding its presence in Austin with the addition of two senior professionals. The firm has appointed Kelley Sigl as senior managing director and Frank Hartmann as managing director. Sigl previously served as senior vice president at JLL and has also held roles at Kinzer Partners, PitchBook Data and Washington Partners, bringing experience across corporate advisory and tenant representation. Hartmann joins Savills after founding and leading SquareDirection, a commercial real estate advisory platform focused on tenant representation, corporate location strategy and market intelligence. Over the course of his career, he has executed more than $250 million in lease transactions across more than 50 assignments.

Oxford Partners has also expanded its brokerage capabilities with the appointment of Kim Hillman as senior vice president. Hillman brings nearly 20 years of commercial real estate experience, with a focus on industrial, logistics, land and investment sales in major markets that include Southern California and Houston. Her background includes leadership roles at Colliers International, Lee & Associates and Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, where she has worked across a range of asset types and client profiles.

Houston-based DC Partners, a real estate investment and development firm, has appointed Roberto Contreras IV as its chief executive officer. Founded in 2011, DC Partners is known for developing luxury projects such as The Allen and reports having completed 22 developments totaling more than 4 million square feet. The leadership change comes as the company continues to manage and grow a portfolio that spans high-end, large-scale developments.
