**JLL to Manage Brown University Health’s 4.5 Million-Square-Foot Real Estate Portfolio**
JLL has been selected by Brown University Health (BUH) in Rhode Island to oversee and manage the institution’s expansive real estate portfolio. Under this engagement, JLL will evaluate and realign BUH’s assets to enhance operational efficiency and support future growth initiatives.
A JLL team—led by U.S. Healthcare Leasing Advisory lead Matt Coursen, Managing Director Bob Coughlin, and Senior Vice Presidents Chris McCauley and Anna Lee Ware—will provide comprehensive services including strategic portfolio development, data analytics, brokerage, and transaction management. The portfolio comprises approximately 150 off-campus properties totaling 2.3 million square feet across Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Southeastern Massachusetts, in addition to 2.2 million square feet across six hospital campuses.
“As healthcare systems evolve, real estate becomes more than an operational function,” said Coursen. “It plays a meaningful role in access to care, how services are delivered and how organizations support their workforce. Brown University Health is a leading health system in Rhode Island, and being able to support its newly combined real estate portfolio at this moment is meaningful work for the JLL team.”
