**Ocean Bank Provides $43.3M Construction Loan for Transit-Oriented Development in Hialeah**
Ocean Bank has extended $43.3 million in construction financing to Development Alliance for the creation of Nexus Leah, a new residential project in Hialeah. The development will be an eight-story, transit-oriented community featuring 189 apartment units.
The 1.14-acre project site is located at 1140 East 25th Street, adjacent to the southeast corner of the Metrorail to TriRail Transfer Station, offering convenient access to public transportation.
Scheduled for completion in early 2028, Nexus Leah will include modern amenities such as a fitness center, elevated pool deck with a lanai, co-working spaces, and an indoor children’s play area, aimed at meeting the needs of today’s urban residents.
The financing was arranged by Jose Lopez, Jesse James Herrera, and David Van Sky on behalf of Ocean Bank.
Development Alliance describes itself as a vertically integrated real estate investment firm focused on delivering Class A attainable housing in high-demand locations near major transit corridors.
Ocean Bank, which facilitated the financing, is recognized as the largest independent, state-chartered commercial bank headquartered in Florida.
