Tishman Speyer has expanded its residential portfolio with the acquisition of The Maggie, a 244-unit rental community located in Raleigh, North Carolina. This marks the firm’s first multifamily investment in the region. The seller was TA Realty.

According to reports, the property was previously purchased in 2022 by TriBridge Residential for $91.2 million, translating to approximately $373,770 per unit.

The Maggie was originally developed in 2014 and is situated on a three-acre site at 401 Oberlin Road. It features a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment layouts, with unit sizes ranging from 559 to 1,844 square feet.

Located in Raleigh’s popular Village District, the community sits just two miles northwest of downtown Raleigh and in close proximity to North Carolina State University. On-site amenities include a fitness center, swimming pool, clubhouse, business center, resident lounge, game room, and a multi-level parking garage. The property also includes 9,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

The transaction was brokered by CBRE, with William Yowell, Tai Cohen, Kevin Kempf, and Don Hoffman facilitating the deal.

Tishman Speyer’s latest acquisition adds to its growing residential portfolio, which now includes more than 2,700 units across nine properties both in the U.S. and internationally.
