**Amazon to Invest $500 Million in Atlanta-Area Warehouse Upgrade**
Amazon is set to invest $500 million to convert its existing warehouse on Campbellton Road in Fulton County into a state-of-the-art sorting and packaging facility. The renovated site will incorporate advanced robotics technology to streamline the storage, packaging, and fulfillment of customer orders.
A local Fulton County planning agency is currently considering a proposed $16 million tax incentive to support the project. If approved, the initiative is expected to create approximately 750 new jobs in the region.
Amazon has been operating at the 153-acre site since 2020, when it signed a lease for the facility. Originally developed by Taylor & Mathis, the warehouse spans 1.1 million square feet.
Over the 10-year incentive period, the project is projected to generate around $36.2 million in tax revenue for the local community.
