**Floriana Italian Restaurant to Open New Location in Alexandria**
Cushman & Wakefield has facilitated a 5,800-square-foot retail lease for Floriana, an Italian restaurant concept, at The Atrium in Alexandria, Virginia. This location, situated at 277 South Washington Street, marks Floriana’s first venture into the Virginia market, complementing its existing restaurants in Washington, D.C., and Wilmington, North Carolina.
Sophie Van Pelt of Cushman & Wakefield represented Floriana in the lease negotiations. The landlord, W.C. and A.N. Miller Development Company, was represented by Melissa Webb and Bill Dickinson of Rappaport.
“We are thrilled to bring such a beloved D.C. institution to Alexandria,” said Van Pelt. “This location at The Atrium provides the perfect setting for their continued success.”
The new restaurant will occupy the former Virginia’s Darling space and offer all-day dining to the Old Town Alexandria community. Floriana’s expansion into Virginia represents a significant growth milestone for the restaurant group, which recently also secured a lease for a new location in Huntsville, Alabama.
