**Odd Fellows Temple in San Francisco Changes Ownership for First Time Since 1880**

Colliers has completed the sale of the historic Odd Fellows Temple, located at 1101 Market Street in San Francisco. The six-story building, home to several arts and nonprofit organizations, has been a landmark with deep roots in the city’s history.

Senior Vice President Pete Mikacich of Colliers represented both the seller, the Odd Fellows Hall Association, and the buyer, a private investor. While the terms of the transaction were not disclosed, Mikacich emphasized the unique nature of the sale.

“While the marketing of this one-of-a-kind asset presented challenges, in the end, we are extremely gratified that the new ownership is committed to preserving the unique environment that has defined this property for decades,” Mikacich stated.

Originally constructed in 1909, the current structure was built after the demolition of the previous Odd Fellows facility in a strategic attempt to stop the spread of fires following the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The Odd Fellows Hall Association has owned and operated from this location—and its earlier predecessor—since 1880, making this transfer of ownership a significant moment in the building’s long history.

The transaction marks the end of more than 140 years of continuous ownership by the Odd Fellows Hall Association, reflecting a new chapter in the life of a property that has played a vital role in the community’s cultural and philanthropic landscape.
