**Flood Building in San Francisco’s Union Square Unveils New Brand Identity**
The historic Flood Building in San Francisco has officially completed a full rebranding effort, following the assignment of Kidder Mathews earlier this year to oversee leasing of its multi-tenant office space and to manage the entire property. Located at 870 Market Street in the heart of Union Square, the 12-story, 300,000-square-foot landmark now features a refreshed identity presented through a newly launched website.
Originally commissioned in 1902 by James L. Flood as a tribute to his father, James Clair Flood, the building was completed in 1904. It is one of the rare downtown structures that survived the devastating 1906 earthquake and fire. Remarkably, the property has remained under family ownership for over a century.
“The Flood Building is more than a piece of history—it’s a living landmark at the heart of San Francisco,” said Jim Walker, Senior Vice President at Kidder Mathews, who leads the building’s office leasing efforts along with team members Scott Vix, CCIM, SIOR; Martin Melbardis; and Kate Schmitz. “Immaculately preserved and modernized where it matters, the building’s story is already here. This rebrand is about telling that story, showcasing its stature, and inviting new tenants to be part of its next chapter as the city looks ahead to the future.”
