National Development to Receive REFA Award for Service to Greater Boston

The Real Estate Finance Association (REFA) has announced that National Development will be honored with the Swain Distinguished Service Award at the 37th Annual REFA Gala. The event is set to take place on Monday, November 3 at the Omni Seaport in Boston.

As Boston’s premier commercial real estate awards dinner, the REFA Gala will celebrate National Development for more than four decades of dedicated service to the Greater Boston real estate community. The firm is being recognized not only for its professional contributions but also for its strong leadership in promoting social responsibility as a core component of successful community development.

National Development supports nearly 60 nonprofit organizations annually through a combination of financial contributions, pro bono services, and hands-on volunteerism. Additionally, many of the firm’s leaders are active board members of some of the region’s most influential nonprofit organizations, further cementing their commitment to the betterment of the community.

The award presentation will be led by REFA 2025 President Jill Sharif, Vice President of National Business Development at Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company – National Commercial Services. Also presenting will be REFA Gala Co-Chairs Peter Bloomfield, Partner and Real Estate Practice Leader for KPMG in New England, and Elizabeth Lowrey, Principal at Elkus Manfredi Architects.

The REFA Gala promises to be an inspiring evening, honoring not only the professional excellence of National Development but also its ongoing commitment to social impact in the Greater Boston area.
