Fresco by Scotto, the beloved Italian eatery with a 32-year legacy in Midtown Manhattan, will continue serving patrons at 485 Madison Avenue for at least another decade. The announcement was made on Monday by the restaurant’s founding family and building owner Jack Resnick & Sons.

First opened in 1993 and co-founded by family matriarch Marion Scotto, Fresco by Scotto has become a staple for workers, residents, and visitors in the Midtown area. The restaurant is now co-owned by Marion’s daughter, Rosanna Scotto – a familiar face from “Good Day New York” – and co-managed by the third generation of the Scotto family.

As the business looks to the future, Fresco by Scotto is introducing new offerings. This month, the restaurant will launch a Saturday brunch featuring a live DJ and expand its special events and catering services.

“Fresco by Scotto long ago established itself as an institution at 485 Madison and a go-to spot for Midtown’s residents, workers and visitors,” said Jonathan Resnick, president of Jack Resnick & Sons. “As a family-run firm that has been around for nearly 100 years, we understand what an achievement it is to maintain a successful business across three generations.”

The lease renewal was negotiated in-house for Jack Resnick & Sons by Brett Greenberg and Adam Rappaport. Fresco by Scotto was represented by Ken Ruderman and Jeff Lagowitz of Savills.
