**Youth Residential Treatment Facility Opens in Oregon City**
Parrott Creek Child & Family Services has announced the opening of a major expansion to its residential treatment center for youth, located in a woodland setting outside Oregon City, Oregon.
The $29.3 million project adds 22,140 square feet of new residential, educational, therapeutic, recreational, and administrative space. With the addition, the facility’s capacity is now doubled, enabling it to serve up to 40 youth at a time.
Key partners in the development include Walsh Construction Co. and real estate development firm Adre., both of which played significant roles in the completion of the facility.
The expanded campus was constructed with sustainability in mind and includes a solar array capable of supplying up to 80% of the facility’s energy needs. Reflecting on the importance of the expansion, Simon Fulford, Executive Director of Parrott Creek, stated, “This new campus stands as a benchmark for the level of care and infrastructure our youth deserve.”
Construction began in October 2023 in response to the increasing demand for youth care services in Oregon. The facility is situated on Parrott Creek’s existing 80-acre property and now features three buildings designed to support residential treatment, education, recreation, and administrative services.
With this expansion, Parrott Creek continues its commitment to providing comprehensive care and support to vulnerable youth across the region.
