**Atlanta to Host Nation’s Largest Pickleball Facility in 2025**
Pickleball enthusiast Mike Shamus is bringing what is being touted as the largest pickleball facility in the United States to Atlanta’s Upper Westside. The upcoming development, known as the Pickleball Club of America, will span an impressive 110,000 square feet and is set to open in late 2025.
Designed by the Terminus Design Group, the facility will feature amenities geared toward both recreational players and serious athletes. Highlights include specialized LED lighting to reduce glare, sound-absorbing materials for improved acoustics, and top-tier recreational amenities such as a full bar, café, locker rooms with showers, golf simulators, and a fitness center.
The venue will also offer four event rooms ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 square feet, as well as a 20-foot-high ceiling and at least 30-foot column spacing in one direction to accommodate regulation 30-by-60-foot courts. The facility will be capable of supporting up to 2,500 members.
In a nod to the sport’s growing popularity at the collegiate level, both the Georgia Tech women’s and men’s pickleball teams have committed to using the facility for practices, home matches, tournaments, and other events.
This development promises to serve as a hub for the pickleball community in Atlanta and beyond, cementing the city’s position as a rising center for the sport.
