**New Costco Set to Open in Allen This August**
Residents of Allen can mark their calendars—Costco is officially set to open its newest location this August. The wholesale giant is expanding its North Texas footprint with the launch of a new store located just south of McKinney.
This new location spans approximately 22.5 acres and will house a 160,000-square-foot store built at an estimated cost of $25 million. Known for its curated selections, Costco typically offers around 4,000 items, carefully selected based on quality, price, brand, and features—allowing the company to provide strong value to its members.
In addition to the warehouse store, a fueling station will also be available on-site. It will feature up to 32 fueling locations and cover 11,500 square feet, a $5 million investment aimed at further enhancing convenience for Costco members.
The Allen location is one of three new Costco openings in North Texas this year. A store in Prosper opened in March, and another is expected to open in Celina later this year.
