Kaizen Breaks Ground on Major Mixed-Use Development in Uptown Dallas
Kaizen has officially closed on a 2.3-acre site at the intersection of Wolf and North Harwood Streets in Uptown Dallas, formerly home to the North Texas Public Broadcasting company studios and a 300-foot transmission tower. The company is preparing to demolish the existing structures to make way for a significant mixed-use development named Chalk Hill.
The ambitious project will encompass more than 400,000 square feet of Class AA office space, a 217-key lifestyle luxury hotel developed in partnership with HN Capital Partners, 61 luxury-branded residential condominiums, and a variety of premium food and beverage outlets.
Designed to offer a premium work environment, the office portion of Chalk Hill will feature a full-service fitness center with spa-style locker rooms, saunas, and a cold plunge pool. Additional amenities include close to an acre of occupiable green roof space, an array of hospitality-inspired lounges and conference areas, as well as a multipurpose executive boardroom that doubles as a dining venue.
Kaizen has selected BOKA Powell as the project’s architect and Balfour Beatty as the general contractor. JLL’s Blake Shipley and T.D. Briggs are handling office leasing for Chalk Hill.
