Industrial Realty Group Completes RoadOne Intermodal Logistics Facility in Suffolk, Virginia
Industrial Realty Group (IRG), one of the nation’s largest industrial real estate developers, has completed a cutting-edge omnichannel warehouse and transload facility for RoadOne Intermodal Logistics in Suffolk, Virginia.
The new facility spans approximately 227,500 square feet and features 99 dock doors, around 17 acres dedicated to trailer space, and more than 1,000 trailer parking stalls. The project is designed to support both job creation and regional economic growth.
“We collaborated with RoadOne to develop a customized warehouse facility to facilitate job creation and economic growth,” said Justin Lichter, Chief Investment Officer at IRG. “We’re known for our adaptive reuse projects, but IRG also has deep experience in ground-up development.”
The facility’s prime location near the Port of Virginia played a major role in the development strategy. As a key hub for international trade on the East Coast, the Port of Virginia offers deep-water access, cutting-edge infrastructure, and strong rail connectivity to major inland markets—making it a strategic asset for logistics operations.
