**BH Properties Set to Redevelop and Rebrand San Diego’s Historic Hazard Center**

BH Properties has announced plans for a significant remodel and rebranding of Hazard Center, a 135,000-square-foot retail complex located in San Diego’s Mission Valley. The multimillion-dollar transformation will revamp the center into a modern, lifestyle-oriented destination and introduce a new name: The Landing at HZRD.

“The Landing at HZRD reflects our repositioning strategy to reimagine the property as a curated lifestyle destination that blends local character with national appeal,” said Jim Brooks, President of BH Properties. “The recent acquisition of Hazard Center and this major remodel represent a significant milestone and a further commitment to the firm’s West Coast retail portfolio expansion, which recently includes several other significant retail acquisitions in San Francisco and Seattle.”

BH Properties acquired the retail center in August 2024 as part of a broader purchase that also includes the neighboring 15-story, 270,000-square-foot Class-A office tower.

The redevelopment of The Landing at HZRD marks an important next step in the company’s strategy to revitalize legacy retail properties into vibrant, community-centric destinations.
