**Austin’s Tallest Building, Sixth and Guadalupe, Completed**
The Sixth and Guadalupe tower, now the tallest building in Austin, has officially completed construction. Standing at an impressive 865 feet tall, the mixed-use skyscraper marks a significant milestone in the city’s architectural and urban development landscape.
Designed by renowned architecture firm Gensler, the tower features a unique vertical integration of spaces, described by the lead designer as “three buildings stacked on top of each other,” visually unified by a continuous glass column that extends from the ground level to the crown.
The structure is composed of 349 luxury apartments positioned on the upper floors, developed by Kairoi Residential. These residences range in size from 600 to 1,600 square feet. Below the apartments sit 589,000 square feet of Class A office space, constructed under the management of Lincoln Property Company, along with ground-floor retail spaces that activate the streetscape.
A central design element of the building is its strategic positioning in relation to the Texas Capitol View Corridor—a regulation that protects sightlines to the historic Texas Capitol dome. This influenced both the shape of the building and the placement of its outdoor amenities, which offer panoramic views of the dome, surrounding lakes, and the Texas Hill Country.
Sixth and Guadalupe stands as a new landmark in downtown Austin, blending residential, commercial, and retail spaces into a vertical urban precinct that redefines the city’s skyline.
