**Pinecrest Breaks Ground on Student Housing Project Near Texas A&M**
Pinecrest has officially begun construction on The Penny on College Main, a 199-unit, 605-bed purpose-built student housing community in College Station, Texas. Designed to serve students attending Texas A&M University, the development will be located at 415 College Main Street.
The Penny on College Main will offer a variety of floor plans, including studio, one-, two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom apartments. Many units will feature bed-to-bath parity, and the community will also include townhome options.
Residents will have access to a full suite of amenities, including multiple study spaces, a resort-style pool, pickleball court, fitness center, package lockers, an automated market, a pet relief area, and a dedicated washroom.
The project team includes Rhode Partners, Rycon Construction, Mitchell & Morgan, and Rhode Interior Design. Construction financing is being provided by CIBC USA and First Bank of Chicago. Completion is expected in 2027.
