### New City Advances to Next Phase of Neuhoff District Development

The Neuhoff District, once a former meatpacking plant consisting of old brick buildings along East Germantown’s riverfront, has transformed into a thriving hub of offices, retail, and residential spaces. The first phase of the redevelopment, which cost $550 million, has already revitalized the area.

**New City Properties** is now proceeding with the project’s second phase, which will introduce a new apartment building, an office building, and additional retail structures.

This next phase will be located at 1324 Second Ave. N., where an existing building will be repurposed into retail space. The expansion also includes the construction of a seven-story office building and a six-story apartment building offering 319 units.

To facilitate this development, New City Properties acquired the 4.77-acre site in 2019 for $26.25 million. The Neuhoff project has also attracted significant investment, with Cousins Properties Inc. contributing $275 million and JP Morgan providing half of the equity. JE Dunn Construction is serving as the general contractor for the project.
