Onward Investors has recently acquired the Ameriprise Financial Center, a 31-story building located in downtown Minneapolis. This 960,000-square-foot property has been the headquarters of Ameriprise Financial since it was built in 2000.
With its prime location within the Minneapolis skyway system, providing direct access to popular destinations such as the Minneapolis Club and Capella Tower, Onward sees potential for this tower even though it will soon be vacant. The company is considering various options for the building’s use beyond office space.
According to Jon Lanners, Partner at Onward Investors: “The purchase of Ameriprise Financial Center reflects our commitment to actively contribute towards revitalizing downtown Minneapolis. We believe that now is an opportune time to invest in shaping the city’s future and we look forward to collaborating with different stakeholders over upcoming months as we reimagine this iconic addition on Minneapolis’ skyline.”
