"Plano Mixed-Use Venture Attracts Interest from Capital Commercial"

A mixed-use development is in the works for Plano’s Legacy Business Park, covering 107 acres of land. This includes the former headquarters building of JCPenney, as seen in the accompanying photo.

According to a report by Community Impact, Capital Commercial Investments has proposed this project and it has been approved by the Plano Planning and Zoning Commission. The City Council will vote on it next month.

The development will consist of more than 700 residential units and two towers built in collaboration with Streetlights Residential. The residential portion will be divided into two phases, each featuring up to 365 units along with open spaces or a water feature.

In addition to housing, there are plans for a hotel with 225 rooms and an office space spanning over 400,000 square feet.

Capital Commercial has already invested $30 million towards improving the former JCPenney headquarters building by adding amenities such as a gym and day care facilities.

This exciting venture is set to transform Plano’s landscape into a vibrant mixed-use community that caters to various needs. Stay tuned for updates on its progress!
