Corey Caputo has recently joined MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, the brokerage division of The MacKenzie Companies. He will serve as a senior real estate advisor and will be based out of the company’s corporate offices in Lutherville, Maryland. Previously, Caputo worked as a retail leasing manager at CANA Development.
In his new role, Caputo will focus on representing developers, landlords, and institutional owners in the sale and leasing of retail shopping centers and mixed-use properties across Baltimore, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia. He will work closely with MacKenzie’s entire retail leasing team including Senior Vice President & Principal Henry Deford and Vice President Tim Harrington.
During his time at CANA Development, Caputo successfully oversaw leasing for five food halls spanning four states. His efforts resulted in an impressive 95% occupancy rate along with over $11 million worth of lease transactions generated. Scott Wimbrow , President of MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services expressed excitement about having someone like Corey join their already strong sales team saying “MacKenzie is extremely fortunate to have attracted another highly-experienced industry professional who is passionate about real estate.”
