Colliers recently facilitated a full-building lease for Building 1, Terminus at Hobbs Station in Plainfield, Indiana. The building spans 233,618 square feet and has been leased for a seven-year term. Andrea Hopper of Colliers Indianapolis represented the landlord, HSA Commercial Real Estate – a national real estate development and investment firm with an impressive portfolio value exceeding $2.5 billion.
The tenant in this transaction was Marathon Electric LLC – a subsidiary of WEG – who was represented by Jimmy Cohoat of Colliers Indianapolis and Darren Ross of Colliers Atlanta. Building 1 is part of the dual speculative development at Terminus at Hobbs Station site along with Building 2 which offers an additional 263,922 square feet available for lease.
Terminus is located in the Southwest submarket near I-70 and just eight miles from Indianapolis International Airport making it an ideal location for industrial businesses like WEG which specializes in electric motors, gearboxes and drives as well as energy generation products. With its global presence and focus on various aspects within the industry such as electrification systems and transformers,WEG is sure to thrive within this new space provided by Colliers’ successful leasing efforts.
