A 100-year-old navy storehouse in Charleston has been transformed into Storehouse Nine, a boutique live/work community featuring 78 units ranging from studios to one-bedroom apartments. The four-story brick building seamlessly blends original industrial architecture with modern design elements.
Throughout the building, residents will find exposed brick walls, concrete floors, and historic details such as original mushroom columns and steel-frame windows that have been carefully restored. The developers behind this project are Jamestown along with local real estate companies Weaver Capital Partners and WECCO Development.
Storehouse Nine is just one part of a larger redevelopment plan for an 85-acre portion of the former naval base. This mixed-use neighborhood will also include Storehouse Eight which will offer office space, event venues, retail shops, restaurants, and design showrooms. With its prime location and unique blend of history and modernity, this development is sure to be a sought-after destination in Charleston’s thriving real estate market.
