"Blackstone Plans to Expand Midtown HQ to Over 1 Million Square Feet"

Blackstone is in the final stages of securing a deal to expand its headquarters at Rudin’s 345 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. The expansion would significantly increase Blackstone’s office space, bringing it to a total of 1.06 million square feet.

For over three decades, Blackstone has been headquartered at 345 Park Avenue and initially occupied two floors totaling 70,000 square feet. In recent years, the firm has expanded its presence with an additional 80,000 square feet added in 2021. This latest expansion will see Blackstone occupy a larger portion of the building – from currently occupying only about half (42%) to now encompassing over half (55%) across an impressive span of twenty-eight out of forty-four floors. This significant deal ranks among some of the largest transactions seen in Manhattan recently and includes exciting new amenities for employees such as a state-of-the-art fitness center.

In addition to this expansion at their Midtown location on Lexington Ave., which saw another substantial increase by adding another whopping200,000 square feet just last year (2022), Blackstone is also considering anchoring their presence within one or more new office towers similar to those being developed by JPMorgan Chase and Citadel – both located on prestigious addresses like supertall buildings found along Park Ave.
