Ross Dress for Less has secured $45 million in government incentives for the construction of a 1.7 million-square-foot distribution center in Randleman, located south of Greensboro. The North Carolina Economic Investment Committee has pledged $8.4 million, while Randolph County and Randleman have approved an additional $38.6 million in incentives. In addition, the county will provide 30 acres of land valued at $1 million to Ross.
The company plans to build the facility at the I-74 Industrial Center on Highway 311 with an estimated investment of $450 million. Development will be handled by Samet Corp., and it is expected to create more than 800 jobs.
