Simon, a leading developer in the retail industry, has announced plans to integrate luxury living into its Fashion Valley mall in San Diego. This comes after completing a multimillion-dollar revitalization of the property. The new development will include 850 multifamily units by AMLI Residential and 100,000 square feet of additional retail space and dining options.
According to Mark Silvestri, president of development at Simon, this project is part of their strategic transformation plan for key properties across the country. He states that they are excited about this next phase for Fashion Valley as it adds a walkable community with luxurious brands unique to this location. This redevelopment signifies an era of sophistication and convenient living in San Diego.
Fashion Valley has recently welcomed several first-to-market luxury brands such as Dior, Bottega Veneta, David Yurman,and Dolce & Gabbana. It was also announced that three more first-to-market brands including Celine (opening later in Q2), Christian Louboutin,and Fendi (both opening in 2025) will be joining the lineup soon.
