The Board of Supervisors in Fairfax County has given the green light for a 23-story residential tower to be built in Tysons’ Arbor Row. This decision, passed with an 8-1-1 vote despite objections from county staff, allows for the development of up to 240 apartments and 8,500 square feet of retail space at the address of 7925 Westpark Drive. The previous plan for this site was a smaller office building with less retail space.
Cityline Partners, working alongside Bethesda-based Renaissance Centro who currently holds the contract, led efforts to change this project from office-focused to residential-focused. If all goes as planned and site approval is granted within the next year and a half construction will begin shortly after that time frame. The area where Arbor Row is located used to consist mainly of older office buildings but it’s now transforming into a mixed-use community near both Tysons Galleria and Tysons Metro station.
