Expansion "Orlando Hospital Plans $145M Expansion in the Local Area"

AdventHealth Winter Garden, located in the Orlando area, is undergoing a major expansion project that will add three floors to its patient tower and introduce new women’s services. Construction for this $145 million upgrade is set to begin later this summer.

The project includes the addition of 40 progressive care unit beds and obstetrics and gynecology services, including labor and delivery. One floor will be dedicated solely to labor and delivery with nine beds for labor, delivery, and recovery; 10 postpartum beds; two C-section operating rooms; as well as future space for a level two Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The expansion also includes more operating rooms and a shell floor capable of accommodating an additional 40 beds.

This approximately 105,000-square-foot expansion is expected to be completed by 2026. With the hospital’s growth comes over one hundred new job opportunities.

According to data from the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA), West Orange County sees over six thousand births each year from families in both West Orange Countyand South Lake counties.
