Matteson Capital is currently exploring the potential construction of a 1,907-foot tower in Oklahoma City. This proposed mixed-use tower would be situated approximately three hours north of Dallas and, if built as planned, would become the tallest building in the nation. The architect for this project is AO.
Known as Legends Tower, it will be one component of Matteson’s Boardwalk at Bricktown development. The designated site for this impressive structure is presently used as a parking lot and will span over three acres with more than 2 million square feet dedicated to residential units, hospitality services, retail spaces, dining options and entertainment venues. With an estimated cost of $1.5 billion fully funded by Matteson Capital itself.
Approval from both Oklahoma City Council and Federal Aviation Administration are still pending at this time; however, the Oklahoma City Planning Commission has scheduled to review a zoning change request related to the project in April followed by city council meeting set for June.
In case approval cannot be obtained,Matteson has already announced that plans will revert back to constructing a smaller 350-foot tower instead – which was originally intended for their fourth building within this development complex.
