OPEN Impact Real Estate recently facilitated two long-term lease agreements for nonprofit organizations at 412-424 East 147th St. in the Bronx. LIFT, an organization focused on breaking the cycle of poverty through parent empowerment, secured a five-year lease for 3,500 square feet on the fifth floor while Chances for Children, dedicated to promoting child well-being and development, signed a ten-year lease for 3,000 square feet on the fourth floor. The space will be customized to meet their specific needs with designated areas for therapy sessions, administrative offices and client interactions.
The leases were negotiated by Alexander Smith and Kendall Elliott representing LIFT and Alexander Smith along with Kate Whitman representing Chances for Children. Jesse Rubens from JLR Realty Inc., acted as landlord representative on behalf of 147 Corp.
According to OPEN’s spokesperson Alexander Smith: “Lift and Chances For Children required a professional space that would allow them to expand their in-person services while being conveniently located near other like-minded nonprofits serving families.” This new location provides just that opportunity without mentioning any specific organization or initiative names.
